BakingBaking / A little sweet. A little savoury.
Pear & Camembert puff pastry tart
Crisp pastry, sweet pear and warm Camembert. Walnuts bring the crunch; black pepper balances the honey. A simple tart that feels just a little special.
DASTALI PRONTOSTEP BY STEP
Let’s make it, step by step
- 01
Fold a border
Unroll the pastry on baking parchment. Fold the edges inward to make a small raised border.
- 02
Layer the pear and cheese
Core and thinly slice the pear. Arrange on the pastry and add slices of Camembert.
- 03
Add the finishing flavours
Drizzle with honey and scatter over chopped walnuts. Add a little olive oil, mint and black pepper.
- 04
Bake until golden
Transfer the tart, still on its parchment, to a baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C / 350 °F for about 15 minutes. Check the pastry is cooked and follow the packet guidance for your pastry.
- 05
Serve warm
Finish with fresh mint. Slice so each piece has pear, cheese and a crisp edge.

Your recipe questions, answered
Can I use ready-made puff pastry?
Yes. This recipe uses one sheet of ready-made puff pastry, approximately 200–250 g.
How much honey should I add?
Use honey to taste. The 50 g option is sweeter; use less if you prefer the cheese and pear to lead.
